Braised Beef “Lasagna”?! Italians shield your sweet sweet Nonna’s kind eyes. Y’all asked for it. Here it is. Cottage Pie LASAGNA! But is it lasagna? You tell me. It turned out kinda noice actually… Ingredients
1.5 pounds boneless beef chuck, cut into large chunks
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp tomato paste
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 cup red wine
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 medium russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced into sheets
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping) Béchamel Sauce
2 Tbsp unsalted butter
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
