Salmon (NOT Chicken) Pot Pie!? It’s cold out. You want something comforting. At least I do. Chicken Pot Pie is elite, we all know that. But Salmon Pot Pie? It’s really, really good too and you should try it. Don’t believe me? Peep it. P.S. Play it safe and make 2 pie crusts for this recipe. Below includes the measurements for 1. Short-Crust Dough Ingredients (makes 1 pie crust)
2 cups (250g) bread flour
2 1/5 sticks (205g) unsalted butter
1/3 tsp (3g) kosher salt
1/4 cup (70-85g) ice water Technique 1. Freeze the mixing bowl, dry ingredients, and paddle attachment for 20 minutes. Chill water separately in the fridge. 2. Attach bowl to mixer and blend on low until the mixture resembles coarse sand with some clumps (5-10 minutes). 3. Shape dough into a puck on a floured surface. 4. Wrap in plastic and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight. 5. Roll dough to 1/8 inch thick before use. Salmon Filling Ingredients
