In its 10th test flight, the 404-foot Starship cleared every major milestone – breaking a streak of explosions in space, the upper atmosphere, and even on the ground.
Liftoff came at 6:30 p.m. Central from Starbase in Texas after two scrubs – one for a liquid-oxygen supply issue and another for weather. The Super Heavy booster, powered by 33 Raptor engines, arced over the Gulf of Mexico before splashing down – a controlled return instead of attempting a tower catch. This successful landing marks an important step toward making the world’s most powerful rocket fully reusable.
