During Tuesday Cabinet Meeting at the White House, President Trump asked United States Secretary of Education Linda McMahon to talk about what she's been working on. Secretary McMahon said, "States really are being innovative and working more with middle schools and with high schools to make sure that we are having hands-on learning. There are pathways to jobs that are happening now," she said. "And if we see more and more of our community colleges working with our middle schools and our high schools so that high school students are graduating not only with a diploma but a certificate, that they have worked with, perhaps with a Toyota or another company that is coming in, public-private partnerships," the secretary said. "They're learning on the job so that when they graduate from high school, they're ready to go into the workforce."
