Hyper Energy Bar is seeking to come to downtown Des Moines, bringing a caffeine boost to an area that has seen its coffee options dwindle in recent years. hyperenergybar has seven locations around Iowa, six of which are in the Des Moines metro, and owner Chris Whalen says opening a location downtown has been a goal of his since he arrived in the metro in 2008. "No matter what happens, Hyper is a Des Moines proud company," Whalen told the Des Moines Register.
