The Nissan GT-R R35 isnโt just built, itโs crafted with a mix of high-tech precision and human mastery at Nissanโs Tochigi and Yokohama plants.
Each 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine is hand-assembled by Takumi master craftsmen in Yokohama, with their names proudly affixed to every unit.
The process takes around 8.3 hours per engine, carefully piecing together over 300 components for absolute reliability.
At Tochigi, the GT-Rโs body is pressed, welded, painted, and assembled using steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber.
The rear-mounted dual-clutch transaxle and ATTESA all-wheel-drive system are fitted for balanced weight distribution and grip.
Every GT-R goes through rigorous test drives on Nissanโs private track, checked by professional drivers for noise, vibration, harshness, and full performance validation.
The 2016 model gained 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque, thanks to ECU refinements and hardware tweaks.
