I’ve seen people over the years say that I somehow trained with “high volume”… Here’s 2 warm up sets I did for triceps before my true, one set to failure. I read that I do 3 sets on pullovers, 2 sets on pulldowns, 2 sets on barbell rows etc so that is somehow high volume. But what they fail to understand is that bar the 1 working set to muscular failure… the other 1-2 sets are warm up sets. If I didn’t do my actual ONE working set to failure and just did my warm up sets and left it at that, I would not get any growth, they’re nowhere near intense enough to stimulate any growth. Those warm up sets serve purely to prepare the mind and muscle for the brutality to come.
