It’s been a busy and emotional week as we marked the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina this past Friday. From HM’s first televised debate, to meet and greets, to even moments of joy playing Minecraft and Mario Kart with the young ladies of Level up she helped them imagine and build the kind of city she envisions for New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina, two churches Franklin Avenue Baptist and First Baptist came together in one building, united in worship and perseverance to rebuild this city. The other night, both congregations gathered once again, and the moment was nothing short of amazing.
