Quarterback Joey Aguilar threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns in his Tennessee debut, leading the No. 24 Volunteers past Syracuse 45-26 in Atlanta. Aguilar connected on a 73-yard strike to Braylon Staley, added scores to Star Thomas and Miles Kitselman, and guided an offense that piled up 493 total yards. Thomas added 92 rushing yards and a touchdown, while DeSean Bishop and Peyton Lewis also found the end zone.
