Waterparks, Reading Festival 2025 REVIEW: Waterparks. Back in the UK. Back on the main stage at Reading Festival. Back to doing what they do best. For a band that prides itself on its live show so much, it is a joy to declare that this is the best they have ever sounded on a stage of this size. ‘Turbulent’ feels like a hardcore rager in these surroundings, the utter disdain dripping from its chorus hitting like several freight trains, whilst ‘Stupid For You’ is crisp as it comes, pure pop-punk perfection in action. Awsten Knight remains to be one of the most charming men in alternative music, recognising and complimenting fans he recognises in the front row and finding time to ponder what exactly a “chav” is in-between smiling his way through a vibrant ‘I Miss Having Sex But At Least I Don’t Wanna Die Anymore’ and pulsating ‘[Reboot]’.
