A potential travel nightmare is brewing as #SEPTA cuts clash with #Eagles fans trying to make it to and from the #Philadelphia Sports Complex. With no state funding passed, SEPTA says it is implementing service cuts to cover a $213 million gap in its budget. The first phase of the cuts will take effect Sunday, Aug. 24, eliminating 32 bus routes, shortening 16, and reducing service on 88 more bus, Metro and Regional Rail lines. SEPTA General Manager Scott Sauer urged parents and students to spend time mapping out new routes to get to school, with the cuts going into effect a day before the year begins. And as the Eagles' home opener approaches, thousands more may realize the number of trains operating to and from NRG Station will be dramatically reduced.
