UPDATE: #Villanova University President Peter Donohue said that the reported active shooter incident was "a cruel hoax." "Mercifully, no one was injured, and we now know that it was a cruel hoax-there was no active shooter, no injuries and no evidence of firearms present on campus. While that is a blessing and relief, I know today's events have shaken our entire community," Donohue wrote, in part, in a letter to the university community. -- #Villanova University sent out a report of an active shooter on campus around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, to students and employees, according to a "NOVA Alert" obtained by CBS News Philadelphia.
