Tempo is the glue that holds your golf swing together. 🤞 But how do you nail the perfect tempo? Here are 5 ways to get it right. 1️⃣ The Two-Ball Drill Set a second ball a couple inches behind your club at set up. During the takeaway, gently push it back with your clubhead. This keeps the club low and smooth and stops a rushed or steep start. 2️⃣ Pause at the Top Most amateurs get quick at the top and pull out of sequence. Adding a deliberate pause slows down the transition and locks in your rhythm. 3️⃣ Copy a Model Player This is the exact swing though Adam Scott uses — choose a swing you love and mirror their tempo. 4️⃣ Swing Like a Sand Wedge John Daly slows his swing by pretending every club is a sand wedge, giving a smooth controlled feel. 5️⃣ Count It Out Pros generally swing with a 3:1 rhythm — three counts back, one through.
