How to get consistent sizing without a balloon sizer?
Ok, first of all — you don’t need your balloons to be the exact same size! With organic balloon art we want our work to flow, and when balloons are all the same it can actually make things look a bit stiff.
But we also don’t want to go too far the other way with them being over or under inflated.
A good rule of thumb is to aim for them to look nice and round (like a bowling ball) and avoid them looking pear shaped or flat on the top. That’s when they’ll sit a bit funny together and it can throw off the look of your design.
Once you’ve nailed that, it really is just practice, practice, practice. You’ll soon get to the point where you know exactly when to stop inflating and when you don’t need to let any more air out!
