The Benet Varsity Girls Flag Football team kicked off its inaugural season with a triple header at Carmel. Benet came out on top against Marist in the first game thanks to TDs from Emma Briggs, Ava Mersinger, Sailer Jones and Caroline Gust. Final score 24-12. The second game immediately followed the first against a very tough Carmel Mundelein. Final score 26-0. The final matchup of the day was against St. Viator. Entering the second half up 7-0 thanks to TD reception from Bridget Rifenburg and a goal interception from Macy Menedez, Viator came out strong to bring the score to 7-6, but the defense prevented the extra point attempt.
