Wayne Evans embodies the perseverance and service that define a true Captain for Life. After beginning his studies at CNU in the 1960s, he paused to raise his young family and later returned to graduate in the 1980s alongside his daughter, creating a proud three-generation CNU legacy that now includes his granddaughter, Class of 2013. Wayne devoted more than 40 years as an engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding, contributing to one of Virginia’s most vital industries.
