❗️The Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck just outran the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X, Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) and Ford Mustang GTD at the Nürburgring.
Its lap of 6:43.482 makes it the fastest pickup ever to tackle the Nordschleife.
Romain Dumas drove the truck in a special three-motor, ~1,200 hp configuration.
The SuperTruck also beat Ford’s own SuperVan 4.2 time of 6:48.393.
Aerodynamics generate 6,000 lbs of downforce at 150 mph, making the truck behave more like a Le Mans prototype than a road vehicle.
At peak, it reached 163 mph before tapering off due to battery limits, yet still held the pace for a record.
For context, here are the Nürburgring leaderboards for prototypes and production cars:
🏆 Prototype Leaderboard (ranked by time)
Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo — 5:19.546 (unrestricted race-car-based prototype, all-time fastest lap)
Volkswagen ID.R — 6:05.336 (all-electric prototype racer)
Mercedes-AMG One (pre-release test) — 6:29.7
