it’s like all the good parts of french onion soup in pasta form 🍝 also gets made in the oven so super minimal effort + cooking Ingredients: 6 shallots or 2 yellow onions 4 garlic cloves 1/4 cup olive oil 1 tbsp dried thyme Salt Pepper to taste 9 oz pasta of choice (I used gluten-free tagliatelle) 4 tbsp salted butter 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Add the shallots (or onions) to a cast iron skillet. Nestle the garlic cloves in, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper. 2. Roast for 20-30 minutes or until tender and golden brown on the edges. Let cool slightly. 3. In the meantime, prepare pasta according to package directions. Once cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water and strain. 4. After the shallots (or onions) have slightly cooled, add them to a blender or food processor with the butter. Pulse until smooth. 5. Using the same pot you used to make the pasta, add the blended roasted shallot butter and the cooked pasta. Over me...
