We are the Geordies: This new BalticGateshead exhibition gets to the creative core of Newcastle United. Featuring work from the likes of bekologic, JimmyTurrell, and EwenSpencer, the exhibition pays homage to the Newcastle's rich football culture and its passionate fanbase (a fanbase once voted second most passionate in the Premier League). The exhibit was built as a visual thesis on belief and belonging, as well as the wider fan journey of parades and away days – to imbue it all with lived experiences as a Geordie was paramount. For the exhibition's designer WilliamKnight__ the installation serves as "a nice opportunity for people to pause and reflect. Football moves so fast – you win a cup and the next week you’re moaning about a defeat or a player wanting to leave the club,” says Will. “Having something physical hanging on the wall where you can stop and think, ‘yeah, that was great’ feels like a really nice sentiment.” #itsnicethat Lead photograph by floodlightson
