Imagine gummy bears but with a surreal, luminescent (and mildly haunting) edge. Gang Friends by RafaelaMascaro is a series of 3D explorations of her 2D illustrations. For the São Paulo based designer, creating new things is her biggest desire and the need for perfection comes second. In this series, bright pinks and blues are contrasted with pearly tones to create bear-like figures that seem to glow and shine... and stare. Some with slightly menacing parted lips that show teeth, others with more demure and seemingly cuddly demeanours. Through working across a range of mediums, Rafaela’s output spans furniture design, textiles surface pattern, painted collage and 3D, all whilst maintaining a vivid and otherworldly colour palette. #3D #Illustration #Surreal #Design
