St. Louis, MO - 8/30/2025 - St. Louis City SC welcomed the Houston Dynamo to Energizer Park Saturday night. Both teams were looking for a crucial 3 points. Houston would go on to win 3-2 holding off a late City push in the last minutes of the match. City would have its chances in the first half thanks to Joao Klauss and Samgbin Jeong. Klauss who put a great chance just wide midway through the 1st half nearly tied the game after Houston scored in the 20th minute. The 2nd half didn’t start off well for City as Henry Kessler gave Houston a 2-0 lead on an own goal. Houston’s Duane Homes would make it 3-0 with in the 72nd minute after a turnover by City’s Fallou Fall. This would send some fans to the exits. With nothing to lose City began their push to get one back. With substitutes Mykhi Joyner in the 59th minute, Simon Becher in the 69th minute, and Celio Pompeu in the 80th minute the attack finally got City on the board.
