Drone footage captured the scale of devastation to a village in Afghanistan’s remote Kunar province on Monday, after a powerful 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck. The strong earthquake in east Afghanistan killed more than 1,400 people and left at least 3,124 wounded as it destroyed numerous villages, a spokesman for the country’s Taliban government said Monday. In the hard-hit Kunar and Nangarhar provinces, the earthquake trapped people under rubble when homes, which are largely made of wood and mud in the region, collapsed onto them as they slept. #international #news #earthquake #afghanistan
