A well-known Des Moines attorney is facing a lawsuit accusing him of choking a preteen who disturbed his family during a camping trip. He has fired back with a counterclaim of his own. Charlie Wittmack, founder of Des Moines' Wittmack Law Firm, is accused of assault and battery in the lawsuit, filed Aug. 13 in Polk County District Court. The 11-year-old's parents, Kevin and Lindsay Wisniewski, filed the suit on his behalf. Wittmack strenuously disputes the plaintiffs' characterization of events and, in a statement, accused the boy and several other children of repeatedly terrorizing his 4-year-old daughter. On Friday, Aug. 29, he filed counterclaims against the Wisniewskis, accusing the son of assault and battery and the parents of failing to supervise him.
