Most photographers send prices without asking the right questions… and that’s why they get ghosted. Here are the 5 questions I always ask before I quote a restaurant job: 1️⃣ What’s the goal — is this for a new menu, social content, or ads? 2️⃣ Where will the photos be used — Instagram, website, print, delivery apps? 3️⃣ How many final images do you need, and what’s the deadline? 4️⃣ Do you need more than just food shots — ambience, cocktails, portraits, BTS? 5️⃣ Any logistics I should know — multiple locations, kitchen access, time of day? When you ask these, three things happen: ✔️ Clients see you as a pro, not just a “camera person.” ✔️ You stop undercharging because you know the real scope. ✔️ Your quotes feel tailored, not random.
