During his years in America, Dalí designed advertisements, wrote his autobiography, worked in cinema and designed ballet productions.
In 1946, he met Walt Disney at a dinner party, which would lead to their collaboration on the short animated film, Destino.
Dalí’s storyboard designs for the film focused on two main characters, a dancer and a baseball player (also the god Chronos), with the plot revolving around the idea of time and destiny.
The film was not released until 2003, almost 50 years after Dalíi crafted the original sketch ideas used in the sequence.
