30 days to go till Luft 11, which just so happens to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Type 993 in the USA. Tommy Kendall, distinguished driver and host, will be on location to share his experiences with some legendary Porsche racing machines, including the 993 Porsche 911 GT2 he piloted at Le Mans.
American legend, Alex Job Racing, will highlight two vehicles; the first being the garage-built
#26 car, a 1995 Sebring GTS2 class winner, and the second a very special
#23 RSR tribute.
Also in attendance will be the Mild Seven Bitburger sponsored 993 Supercup car, owned by Leh Keen and driven by Le Mans legend Emmanuel Collard, who piloted in the 1995 season, winning 3 of 9 races and claiming 3rd in the championship.
A number of special 993 road cars (the Carrera 2S, Targa and Turbo among them) will help round out the model’s evolution. That, and a few more curated surprises that must remain under wraps until October 4.
See you soon. ✌️
