#Curiosity begets #inquiry. And in our story, it’s about the people who were curious enough to look. 🧐⠀ ⠀ Anton von #Leeuwenhoek (1632-1723) is known as the Father of #Microbiology. A cloth merchant and amateur lensmaker with no fortune, no higher education, but an unquenchable thirst for #science, he broke free from convention to make some of the most important discoveries in scientific history. In 1674, he became the first person to ever see living #microbes.⠀ ⠀ Leeuwenhoek’s experiments with lens-making and #microscopy function led to many designs of his own, dramatic and powerful advancements over existing iterations.
