LIONS RUN PAST FIELD AT PR CITY INVITATIONAL: The jserra.tfxc Girls Cross Country team opened its’ season in dominant fashion on Saturday night, as the Lions won their season opening race at the PR City Invitational at the SilverLakes Sports Complex in Norco. Junior Reese Holley fronted the triumphant team performance in the Girls Elite Race, as she positioned herself into second place early and held that effort throughout before striding across the finish line in 16:59.2. Sophomore Kaia Streadbeck surged up four places in the final mile and crossed the finish line in third place with a time of 17:10.8. The Lions received stellar performances from a pair of newcomers making their racing debuts. Freshman Maya Pawlowicz was in sixth place entering the last mile, but moved up two spots and stepped across the finish line in fourth place with a time of 17:12.9.
