1920s Paris comes alive on the ground floor of
#SothebysLondon as visitors are transported back to the birth of Surrealism for ‘Pauline Karpidas: The London Collection’.
At the heart of this Parisian reverie is Le Café de Pauline, a Rive Gauche bistro reborn in the legendary collector’s image with a distinctively French menu created by benthechef_, Sotheby’s Restaurant Head Chef.
“French cuisine is how I first learned to cook, so experimenting with these classic dishes was a very welcome challenge,” he says. “We’ve used the finest French and British produce – from Normandy chicken and Comté cheese to Brixham lemon sole and Isle of Wight tomatoes – to bring Paris to London.”
Stop by through 16 September to see the greatest collection of Surrealism to emerge in recent history, alongside contemporary masterworks and whimsical design pieces, jewelry, and furniture.
