“Human Marks: Tattooing in Contemporary Art” will make its debut at the University of Hartford’s Joseloff Gallery (has_galleries) on September 11, followed by a full-day symposium on September 12. The exhibition explores convergences between tattoo culture and global contemporary art. Themes of ritual, ethics, and identity tie together the materially dynamic, unexpected, and challenging artwork. This exhibit is the 8th International Distinguished Artists Symposium and Exhibition (IDASE) at the Hartford Art School.
