Color corrector 101 🧡 Anytime you see a peach, orange, or even red concealer stick or cream I want you to think “corrector” There are other shades of correctors (green correctors cancel out redness etc) but orange correctors tend to be the one people with deep/dark skin tones find using the most. Correctors come in different forms and it doesn’t have to be a product that claims to be a color corrector—some brands build in corrector shades to their concealer shade ranges. So if you read the description of a shade and it says peachy or red undertones I might be able to double as a corrector as well. Why use a corrector? If you’re trying to minimize the appearance of dark circles or spots, dabbing some corrector on can help you use less product in the later stages. So instead of packing on concealer—a little color corrector evens skin out so I can apply a moderate amount of my base products.
