ARTIFACT IN ACTION: Witness Bonnie Blair’s speed skates in action during the women’s 1000m competition at the Albertville 1992 Olympic Winter Games.   On the day Bonnie Blair was born, her father dropped her mother off at the hospital so he could watch her five siblings skate. She went on to win five Olympic gold medals, one bronze Olympic medal, and nine World Championship medals. Bonnie was inducted into the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame in 2004.
