It’s about time.
No, really. Check out the clock face on this national treasure! Recently, contractors replaced a cracked glass panel in the north clock face of the tower at Independence Hall. The cracks most likely appeared after the Tower Rehabilitation project in 2013 when the piece of glass may have been fitted too tightly against the stainless-steel frame that supports the clock.
Speaking of good timing, today is Constitution Day. On September 17, 1787, 38 delegates at the Constitutional Convention signed the U.S. Constitution while in the Assembly Room at Independence Hall (then known as the Pennsylvania State House) in Philadelphia.
