Saturday marked the second-to-last session of the Expression From the Inside training for our incredible Ladies of the Arc. NAF’s Ladies of the Arc initiative is a powerful collective of mothers who have each experienced the unimaginable loss of a loved one to gun violence. The Ladies have been following the Expression From the Inside curriculum, and training under Michael & Lisa. Lisa is an art therapist with 13 years of experience, who is currently in her final year of completing her PhD in Art therapy at Adler. Together, they are preparing to lead trauma informed expressive arts workshops for youth across the city of Chicago—bringing healing, hope, and creativity to the next generation.
