PLUM & SHISO SPRITZ 🫧
・1½ oz Empress 1908 Cucumber Lemon Gin
・1 oz Plum-Shiso Syrup*
・4 oz Prosecco
・Fresh Plum Slices and Shiso Leaves, to garnish
METHOD: To assemble the spritz, add the plum-shiso syrup to a glass, then pour in Empress 1908 Cucumber Lemon Gin. Stir gently with ice, then top with prosecco. Garnish with fresh plum slices and a shiso leaf and enjoy!
*To make the syrup, combine ½ cup water, ½ cup sugar, and 1 large ripe plum (pitted and chopped) in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Add 5 fresh shiso leaves and gently muddle them into the syrup. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat. Strain through a fine mesh sieve, pressing gently on the fruit, and let cool completely. Voilà!
