Sometimes with mental health, it feels like there are only two settings:
Feel nothing — where everything is numb and disconnected. Nothing really hurts, but nothing really excites you either. It can feel empty, quiet, and isolating.
Feel everything — where emotions flood in all at once and become overwhelming. The weight of it all can feel overwhelming, like you’re being pulled in every direction by feelings that don’t have an “off” switch.
Both states can be exhausting in their own way, and both are valid experiences. Remember: it’s okay to acknowledge where you’re at, and it’s okay to ask for support
when either extreme feels too heavy to carry alone. 💙
