On Monday, Sept. 22, we announced our 2025 class of astronaut candidates. These men and women, chosen from over 8,000 applicants, will embark on two years of training before graduating as flight-eligible astronauts, prepared for missions to low Earth orbit, the Moon, and Mars.
Our astronaut candidates have backgrounds in aviation, engineering, and medicine; they've even served as NASA interns and supported our Mars rovers! Visit
