Autumn Cocktails: spiced fig and fire Cocktail Recipe 1.5 oz. Mezcal .5 oz. Cointreau or Orange Liqueur .75 oz. Lime Juice (freshly squeezed!) 1 oz. Fig Syrup 1 oz. Coconut Cream/Milk Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Add ice. Shake and strain into a collins glass. Garnish with a turbinado sugar rim and sliced fig. Spiced Fig Syrup: 1 Pint (1 lb) Figs quartered - I used black mission and green figs 1/2 Cup Turbinado Sugar 1 Cup Water 4-5 Orange Peels 5-10 Whole Cloves 2 Star Anise 1 tsp Vanilla Extract In a small saucepan combine all ingredients. Bring to a low simmer on medium low heat, stirring frequently. Stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Continue to simmer for ~15-20 Minutes until figs have broken down.
