Chicken & Dumplings! 🐓✨Now this is a debate I can get behind. Flat or fluffy? Veggie or chicken only? Broth or stock? There are SO many different ways each family makes! These are my mamaw’s dumplings (I add veggies) she taught me to make. I say my mawaw, but really she’s Mr. Herbs’. After 20 years though she’s mine, too. She’s the cutest little spitfire you ever did meet and she’s taught me a heck of a lot about cooking! 3 cups self rising flour (more if needed) 2 cups butter milk (more if needed) Your favorite cooking oil 1 sweet onion 1 cup diced carrots 1 cup fixed celery 5 (+\-) cups chicken or vegetable stock or broth 3 (+\-) cups chicken (optional) Herbs for garnish Seasonings to taste. I use Greek, salt, and pepper. To a large mixing bowl add your flour and buttermilk. Mix together until the consistency matches the video. If it’s too wet add more flour.
