The time we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived, Colorado is peaking 🍂
In just 3 days, I drove 1,000+ miles across Colorado’s high country to catch the leaves before they’re gone. Summit County is peaking right now, and here’s where I went:
🏞️ Summit County Trails (Peak Color!)
• Ptarmigan Trail – 6.2 mi RT, Moderate
• Old Dillon Reservoir Trail – 1.7 mi RT, Easy
• Sapphire Point Overlook – ♿️0.1 mi
🍁 Boreas Pass is golden right now, excellent drive with tons of photo stops.
• Blue River Trail – 3.5 mi RT, Easy
• Aspen Alley – 1.2 mi RT, Easy
🌿 Kenosha Pass is still green but should start peaking this weekend!
🏔️ Rocky Mountain National Park is not quite at peak, but this weekend should be perfect, especially in the Bear Lake Corridor (Timed Entry required 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Bear Lake Road area). I hiked:
• Sprague Lake – ♿️0.8 mi loop
• Bear Lake – ♿️0.6 mi loop
• Bierstadt Lake – 3.2 mi RT, Moderate
