I should’ve never stopped! I took a photojournalism class in high school, and had a ton of sports pics in the yearbook. After I graduated, I stopped doing sports photography. I did weddings, events, portraits, and whatever else until I got tired of all that and stopped using my camera altogether. I sold almost all of my stuff except for one camera body and one lens. I didn’t touch it for years until I got invited to watch a basketball camp. For day one, I sat in the camp just as a spectator. On day two, I decided to film at camp with my iPhone on a gimbal. The next year, I joined that same camp as a media intern. After camp was over, I knew I wanted to be around sports more often. I asked one of the coaches if I could take pics and film his high school team. He introduced me to the rest of their coaching staff and I covered their entire season.
