My first OB appointment could not have gone better and I’m so grateful! I had my notebook ready and was ready to plead my case for an ultrasound but it turns out my new doctor is a star who had already anticipated my needs. 😭 So not only did I get an 11 week ultrasound, but I actually got to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time! (Previously I’ve only ever seen it through M-mode scans; not heard it on Doppler!) It was strong and steady at 168 💓🥹 Even better, I’m going to be in the care of a high risk doctor as well and my next ultrasound is next week(!!) at 12 weeks for the transnuchal ultrasound, and from there I’ll get a monthly ultrasound at *minimum*.
