When we launched Grid Clique in 2021, the motorsports creator economy in North America barely existed. We somehow stumbled across each other on the internet, because we were both shouting into the ether about some random niche sport we both loved, but didn’t have anyone to talk about it with. We didn’t see communities like there are now - safe spaces where fans from all backgrounds could come and talk freely about the sport. So we created one. Fast forward four years, and motorsports communities are booming. We’re no longer getting messages like the ones that sparked us to launch this space: ‘I’m intimidated to join the conversation because of the pushback I’ll get for being a new fan, for being a woman in a room of men…’ the list goes on.
