Friendship fuels leaders. This #DayoftheGirl, we celebrate the girls who lift one another up - they make each other feel confident, safe, and strong enough to lead. We invited girls in our programs to recognize the friends who stand beside them as changemakers. Their support of each other may be close to home, or stretch across oceans and time zones. Every day this week, we’ll spotlight dynamic duos — because when one girl rises, she helps another shine. Just look at allisonchoong (21, Malaysia) and saniahammad_ (20, U.S.), who became best friends after they created "Safiya Speaks Up," a children’s book to teach girls about safe touch, as part of our Girl Activist Fellowship.
