Beef and radish porridge (소고기 무 죽)
Makes 6 serves: 404 calories (44c 8f 39p)
INGREDIENTS:
1kg lean beef rump
1kg daikon radish
30g garlic
250g uncooked rice
1.5L water
50g soy sauce
20g tuna extract
10g dasida (beef flavour)
20g sesame oil
100g spring onion
Preparation: Cut the beef into cubes, chop radish into small pieces, mince the garlic, chop the spring onions and rinse the rice.
1. In a pot of boiling water, add the beef. Boil for 3 minutes until scum appears, drain and then rinse beef.
2. Place beef into a pressure cooker or rice cooker. Add the rice, garlic, salt, soy sauce, dasida, and 1L of water. Mix well and then add the chopped radish. Cook for about 70-80 minutes (cooking times may vary depending on your pressure cookier — we used the porridge function).
3. When cooking is complete, add 500ml of water, sesame oil, and chopped spring onion. Mix well, divide into 6 servings, and enjoy ❤️
