How to perfectly cook steak every time π₯©
As a bodybuilder who eats a lot of protein, Iβve had my fair share of overcooked steaks... Until I stumbled across COLD SEARING.
This fool proof technique is great because:
ππΌ You donβt need oil (no added calories)
ππΌ You only need a non-stick pan (no need for an oven)
ππΌ Evenly cooks the steak from edge to edge
ππΌ Easy clean up as oil and fat doesnβt splat as much
ππΌ You can move the steak around (great for people who donβt like sitting still)
Cooking times will vary but based off the usual cuts of steak I purchase from the supermarket, but the outcome is pretty similar every time I try these times π
Preparation:
Make sure steak is room temp.
Pat steak dry.
Season with pepper. If you want to season with salt, make sure to do it at least 20 minutes before cooking. Salt will bring out the moisture and affect the sear.
Place on non-stick pan.
For the thinner steak (~1 inch):
TURN ON HEAT TO HIGH β 2 minutes β Flip β 2 minute...
