Chamblee Football. Brookhaven, Georgia. 2022 Monochrome Monday - Football was the first sport I learned to photograph. What initially started as a hobby and a means for me to rest my legs before cross country meets on Saturday(ironic I know)led to me establishing the foundation for my creative practices now. Learning how to navigate sub-optimal lighting conditions, finding creative angles to capture the sport due to a lack of professional equipment. When I began I was limited to 3 frames per second and a 70-200 2.8 lens. My mindset was to control what I could, focusing on the emotion of the game, improving my world building to immerse the viewer into what was Georgia high school football. I maintained relationships with players and coaches alike. The same practices I started with incorporating metadata to Adobe Bridge and Dropbox were mirrored to Photo Mechanic and Photoshelter.
