One town we always end up passing through on our way to some of our favorite hikes is Helen, Georgia. This little Bavarian-themed village is nestled right on the Chattahoochee River deep in the north Georgia mountains. This makes it a fantastic hub for getting out to the surrounding hikes. Some of Georgia's best hikes like Raven Cliff Falls, Mount Yonah, Smithgall Woods, and many more are all within a 15-minute drive of Helen.
