How Hope researchers are combating the "I'm bad at math" narrative, starting in elementary school classrooms: ⬇️ Adult math anxiety often starts with boring or discouraging early experiences. Dr. Gina Kling, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, and her students are researching how to bring joy and curiosity back to elementary math. They are studying the "How Many" routine, an engaging activity that shows kids an image of objects and encourages them to share many different ways to find the total. Collaborating with Northwestern University and local elementary classrooms, their work aims to provide teachers with proven, meaningful routines. #UndergraduateResearch
