Just to follow on from my post the other week with my rehab update… When I did my bodybuilding, it was for the sake of bodybuilding and building the best physique I could possibly build to win the Olympia. I didn’t do any other stuff because I didn’t want to get injured and risk my career, since professional bodybuilding was well, my profession, it was what I did day in and day out. Since retirement, I’ve done a load of other types of exercises (since fitness will always be a part of my life) like; biking, horse riding, ju jitsu, boxing, pilates, yoga and more. My point is, it depends on what you’re trying to achieve. My goal for some time has been longevity focussed, I’m not trying to be a bodybuilder, I’ve been there and done that… it was a chapter in my life. I enjoy a challenge of course and now that’s through different types of exercises. If you’re not a competitive bodybuilder for example, then why not do other stuff?
